The Oklahoma Association of Area Agencies on Aging was established in 1985. Our mission is to enhance the capacities of Oklahoma’s area agencies on aging so they can more efficiently and effectively carry out their roles and responsibilities as provided for in the Older American Act.
O4A is comprised of directors of area agency staff, the majority of whom work for Oklahoma’s sub-state planning districts, sometimes referred to as councils of governments.
